Competition propositions
Competitors in all categories must have at least one piece from a different style period in their program, except
I. category, VII. and VIII. categories.
I. category
students of the 1st grade of the primary music school
- two songs (or more) of your choice (max 3 minutes)
II. category
students of the 2nd grade of the primary music school
- two songs (or more) of your choice (max 4 minutes)
III. category
students of the 3rd grade of the primary music school
- two songs (or more) of your choice (max 5 minutes)
IV. category
students of the 4th grade of the primary music school
- two songs (or more) of your choice (max 7 minutes)
V. category
students of the 5th grade of the primary music school
- two songs (or more) of your choice (max 9 minutes)
VI. category
students of the 6th grade of the primary music school
- two songs (or more) of your choice (max 11 minutes)
VII. category
piano duo 1.-3. class of elementary music school
- a minimum of two pieces of free choice or several movements of different character of one cyclic piece (max 7 min)
VIII. category
piano duo 4th-6th grade of elementary music school
- a minimum of two pieces of free choice or several movements of different character of one cyclic work
(max 10 min)
VII. and VIII. categories are not required to be played by heart
The expert jury makes an irrevocable decision against which the contestant has no right to appeal.
At the competition, the expert jury awards the following awards:
Gold recognition 90.00 - 100 points; Silver recognition 80.00 - 89.99 points;
Bronze recognition 70.00 - 79.99 points
Members of the expert jury do not evaluate their students.
In the event that several competitors share the same number of points, the competitors share the won place.
A competitor may compete in several categories, but not below his age limit.
Due to the motivational nature of the competition, the scores will not be published publicly.
The jury will rank the competitors by internal scoring.
All competitors receive a certificate of participation.
By registering for the competition, all candidates accept the rules stated here.
FEES for categories I to VI. (Soloists) is €40
FEES for categories VII. and VIII. (Piano duo) is €60
